    Lanesborough is on the N63 between Longford and Roscommon, in the middle of Ireland's Hidden Heartlands.

    About 2 hours from Dublin via the M4 and N4, then the N63 from Longford town. Free parking near the quay.

    By train

    The nearest station is Longford, on the Dublin–Sligo line. From there it's about 20 minutes by taxi.

    By bus

    By boat

    Lanesborough is a natural stop on any Shannon cruise, with moorings at the quay at the top of Lough Ree.
